Good article but here's the thing:  when it comes to the US, their motive is always clear and they need no justification for what they do.  They do what they want and that's all there is to it.  When it comes to the rest of the world (except for Israel, of course), well, that's a totally different story.  Particularly, because in its role of self-appointed Masters of the Universe, the US gets to appoint and/or decide who "the bad guys" are and, oddly enough, they never are!  Everything they do is well-meaning, well-motivated, kind, just, fair.   Killing millions of innocents, oh, well, that's just collateral damage, the cost of war, self-defense or asymetrical war (as the Washington Post calls it, no doubt because it's routed on the word "ass.")  Someone else defending themselves against the US is terrorism or whatever the buzz word du jour happens to be.  Yeah, great example they are for the world to follow.
