Subject: APPOSE SB1070

 

Dear Members of the Arizona House of Representatives

 

Russell pierces bill SB1070 is an egregious step in the WRONG DIRECTION for the state of Arizona.  This Bill will turn over the Lawless FEDERAL GOVERNMENT a database of all Arizonan information VOLUNTARILY when the State of Arizona passed a resolution to NOT participate in the REAL ID act from a MANDATORY standpoint.  This is absurd!  The Federal government is moving to a complete socialism and the State of Arizona must do everything it can to prevent this from happening.

 

This bill SB1070 has a sneak provision in them that turns the Arizona Driver’s License into a national ID. Section 2. 11-1051, subsections F.1-3. specifically require that the state obtain prior clearance from the US Department of Homeland Security before you can obtain or renew your Driver’s License.  This is clearly UNCONSTITUTIONAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

With all due respect to Senator Pearce relying on the federal government's "system" is a recipe for disaster. As long as we as a country continue to look to the same people (federal government) who created the problem to resolve the problem we will continue to have to deal with the problem. It is long past time for states to look for ways to resolve problems without providing the federal government with more information/control over each of us.

 

IN conclusion this bill is SPITTING in the face of the Constitution and needs to be STOPPED AT ALL COST!   The state of Arizona MUST stand up to the Federal Government to PROTECT our Constitution, sovereignty, and the rights of the people from this overbearing, monolithic and tyrannical movement towards socialism
