Two Choices

the problem with this feelgood story is that it is based on a lie. It is the kind of lie that is so fundamental it turns the story into something that would be the subject of this line: Every word is a lie, including the words 'and' and 'the'. Perfection is a human concept. In nature there is no perfection. There is the struggle for life and reproduction. In nature, real nature, not the make believe of this author, his child would have been dead a long time ago.
And this was a game. Not real life. Hey, how about giving his son a scalpel so he can be a surgeon? Or having him drive a car? Just how much will this man ask others to sacrifice so his son can be happy? And finally, I wonder what happened to the pitcher who threw away the game. Anybody think how he fared? The guy sounds like a psychopath. He certainly did not care much for his team.Poohbah, You completely missed the point.
