For the Christian... who is your government if you are free, and have not been conquered by any government? The Bible doesn't dictate anywhere who is to be your government, other than God, of course. So, your government is the government you select. If you select it, then follow its rules.
For the state... secession is foolish. Why? Because the Federal Government doesn't have that much authority and control over the state except when the state gives it to them.
If people in the Federal Government try to move outside of their authority, Constitutional Law and other law says that they are at least in the direction of treason, individually. Treat them accordingly.
As an example of what is really going on... how many states have joined together to push for impeachment of Obama on grounds that he is not qualified to be President?
So, you see that the whole idea of state secession is just another cover up to take the peoples' eyes off the fact that state officials are playing a game when they talk secession. What they are really doing is throwing up a smoke screen to hide the fact that they are on the side of the Feds all the while.
