White ex-transit officer given 2-year prison term
• APHundreds of protesters on Friday took to the streets of Oakland after a white former transit officer was sentenced to the minimum possible prison sentence of two years for fatally shooting an unarmed black man on a California train platform.
naturally we object to the racial overtones of the headline.....
Were I the father of the victem I'd want that ex-officer out and walking around on the street. It's too hard to get at him in prison.
