Isn't the plot of "Atlas Shrugged" that the U.S. government is not legitimate? Isn't that the justification for the "strike"? Isn't the entire 1300 page book a continuous list of destructive interference by government in business and how the gov is cheered on by a large segment of the population? Ayn Rand called this "the sanction of victim". She pointed out that even the most productive members of society may suffer from this destructive behavior. When was the last time you heard Bill Gates denounce anti trust law or gov regulation of business in general?  Capitalism is defended instead by intellectuals, e.g., economic professors at mises.org. but not by mainstream media or schools. Perhaps the new movie "Atlas..." will spark a wider discussion.
