TV ownership declines for first time in Nielsen history
• ew.comAccording to Nielsen Media Research’s annual “Television Audience” report that was released this week, the number of households with a TV set will decline for the first time in the company’s survey history (which extends back to 1970).
For the longest time I wanted to be one of those 'Neilsen Raters'. When the letter finally came and I had my chance, it was AFTER my entrance into the world of 'politics' - a few years after I had already seen through the 'thin veneer' of mass media, and I tore it up and threw it away.
Now, if I can just get my loved ones unhooked from the entrancement of the tube...!
The true reason for the decrease in televisions in American households, is because that decline is due to families being evicted from owning a home.
