What Will They Say To Say To Shadrach, Meshach, And Abednego?
Chuck BaldwinLet me start with a story. A man who had survived the great Johnstown flood died and went to Heaven. And not long after, all of the inhabitants of Heaven were allowed to take center stage and tell everyone about the most significant event that had ha

An amazing delightful article.
Here we have references to about a dozen individuals and events in the ancient world who resisted tyranny.
I confess I was familiar with the story of the characters in the title, but had not made the connection made here.
Ya' lurnz sumthin' nyoo everee dadburn deigh!
Upon seeing his reference to Romans Chapter 13, I went back and read what I wrote in my book. I dicovered (shudder) a typo. One of those awful mistakes that spell check won't find.
Other than that it was pretty good. Personally, myself, I really really liked it.
I'm here to tell you, it's been two years since I wrote and was not exactly sure what was there. Still, typo notwithstanding it's pretty good.
Not everyone will agree with that, I'm sure.
I see Chuck has some DVD's out on Romans Chapter 13. Based on this article, I may buy them. Heck, if I do that, I might even watch 'em!

Weren't they prototypes for Moe, Larry, and Curly?
From Tatiana Covington: Weren't they prototypes for Moe, Larry, and Curly?
Reply: Actually, it would not surprise me. People find ways to work the Bible into everything. People borrow from it all the time.

Then there's little Johnny's version of this tale.
He thought his Sunday school teacher had said Shadrach and Meshach in a Winnebago.
He always wondered why two guys needed a Winnebago.

There would be almost zero need for government if everyone were peaceful. If all the people were peaceful, the natural government of family would rule. The only time other government would be needed, would be to organize to fight some natural catastrophe, or to organize to achieve some great endeavor.
That's it. The above is all. There is no other need for government... except one. What is the one other need for government? It is to fight the rebels who form governments to steal from innocent, unsuspecting, peaceful people. It is to fight formerly good governments that have turned to corruption.
The questions that most good, Bible-believing people never consider deeply is, who is really the government? And, who is the rebel?
So, let me say it straight out. When people in governments turn to corruption, and especially mass corruption, they are the rebels. This is most of the people in the United States Congress, the President, and even the judges. It is even many in the military, and State and local governments.
God is against rebellion. God is against the governments of the earth, even though He allows them to exist for awhile.
