Most of the modern explanations of what the earth's core is like, are based on assumptions, put together by scientific people who want to believe it this way, because they don't really know what is going on down there. Not one of them has been there to take a look. No machinery has ever penetrated the earth's mantle to get into the core. Have any machines even penetrated the crust all the way to the mantle?

But, let's say that the scientists are right, that the earth's core is as hot as the surface of the sun, that the pressure is something like 3.5 million times atmospheric pressure. Who can begin to estimate where the heat comes from?

In the article, in the suggestions of where the heat comes from, seems like they left out the idea that the great pressure has compacted the materials at the core, so densely that the core actually stops neutrinos by the zillion zillions. This could account for the heat... neutrino energy being converted to heat energy.

I mean, if they can guess all that stuff about the core, stuff that they really do not know anything about with certainty, why not guess that the heat is neutrino heat?
