The 4th of July has been a day of mourning for me for years. To celebrate this day would be like sitting the urn containing granny's ashes in front of a birthday cake and singing happy birthday to her remains. I will continue to wear black on that day and scratch my head in disbelief at all the television watchers who haven't got a clue about what is going on in this country that they claim to love so much.
