Is the End of the World Coming This Friday?
• Prison PlanetAre we living in the end times? For years, the fast approaching end of the Mayan calendar, calculated to end Friday, December 21, 2012 during the winter solstice has been hyped as an apocalyptic conclusion to life as we know it.
The end will not come Friday, and here's why:
1 Thessalonians 5:3 (NIV):
While people are saying, “Peace and safety,” destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape.
Scared people aren't accepting that things are peaceful and safe. The end will come AFTER Friday... after people become comfortable that we made it way past Friday, and that the doom and gloom predictions are wrong.
Of course, there are other things that people are scared of, so it will probably only be after there is the appearance of WORLD PEACE that people will say "peace and safety." Because of this, nobody ever really knows for sure when the end will come.
