Once again Frosty is stuck on stupid about Mexico. Of course the US-Mexico problem sounds grim if we keep thinking of the border as a unidirectional sieve, and the US as a welfare state. The food stamp thingie is a straw man since usually people get about $200 a month worth, which can only be used for food not liquor, toiletries, or even hot lemon pepper deli chicken (which are considered restaurant meals, hence not covered), and $50 a week requires thrifty shopping, so I don't think they're storming the wire for that. However, if we incorporate Mexico as 10 new states, and erase the current border, allowing free bidirectional migration, then the trillions in idle capital will likely start flowing south to build whole new cities, especially on the huge coasts, creating a job boom. The new 60-state U.S. will be bigger, better, and happier in every way, except for diehard white supremacists and Mexican nationalists, who will never give up their sick monochrome dreams. The rest of the 400 million Americans however won't care as they finally put the issue to rest and seize the future.
