Hancock and several others have found connections to civilizations that were around, supposedly, 12,500 years ago. It seems that there was a one-world trading society that extended the globe back then. It also seems that this worldwide "organization" collapsed in some worldwide cataclysm back then. The timing seems to coincide with Plato's understanding of the time of the destruction of Atlantis. Personally, I think that the timing is off, and that the cataclysm was the Great Flood of Noah's day.
