There exists in this country a pool of men whose dedication to logic and truth can not be doubted.  All have spent their lives working with things in the real physical world where failure can not be papered over with bullshit.

They have been honored by their fellow professionals with awards that rank then among the best in the country or the world. 

These men are the world prize (as in Nobel or Fields medals, or similar prizes in engineering) winners in the physical sciences, mathematics, or various fields of engineering.

I suspect that it would not take them more than a few months to get familiar with the logic and history of the US constitution. 

They are for the most part uncorrupted by politics.   Upon retirement, and if they are willing, and upon approval by the senate, place their names in a hat, and the next time that there is a vacancy on the supreme court, simply draw a name.   Do this until at least 5 members on the court are made up of these individuals.   Perhaps we should keep two or three people with legal experience on the court.

Surely with people like that on the court, things could not be any worse than they are now.
