I want to encourage you all to engage with Occupy Wall Street

• Letter

Guys, this Occupy Wall Street thing kinda took me by surprise even though I was prepared for it by such of our scholars like Gerald Celente and I didn't see this wave coming but I know what a wave feels like.

You can let your feet come off the floor and rise with the tide or you can be steadfast and drown. Yup, you can take a position and declare that you will not move and one day the water starts rising and it gets to your feet but from this spot you will not move and then the water gets up to your knees and from this spot you will not move and pretty soon you are breathing out of your nose and keeping your mouth shut but from this spot you will not move and in another few minutes you are breathing water. And from this spot you will not move because now you are dead.

Brothers and sisters, can I tell you that this movement, these kids are not inclined against us? They are more open-minded than we are, I'll tell you that. As a 30-year libertarian I have got used to rejection from all quarters. I have found more acceptance and tolerance among these kids than I ever got from us because the name of the libertarian game is not exactly unconditional love. We are a crucible. I tell people it takes 2-3 years of reading and debate and getting intellectually and morally and physically challenged just to formulate a defensible position as a libertarian. We are not kid-gloves kind of people. I'm certainly not, I'm a scourge to my friends and I don't even want to tell you about what I am to my enemies. Well actually I do briefly, I make extensive use of the word TOMAHAWK in writing and it's only partially allegorical because I am a trained warrior and I find a certain joy at the prospect of just spraying blood.

But as an armed warrior, I wish to point out some of the more humorous aspects of what is happening right now before our eyes. For starts, how about that thing with JT Ready and his band of fully armed patriots standing in between Phoenix cops and the gentle fuzzy hippy leftist cupcakes? JT and the boys were actually protecting the hippy commie fags. Trust me, in my 30 years of activism, nothing like that has ever happened before. And it had the perfect intended effect I think: the cops just focussed on JT and the crew and left the leftists alone to sing kumbaya or whatever, braid one another's hair and make ankle bracelets but DO YOU KNOW HOW LOVING THAT LOOKED?

AND DID YOU NOTICE A CERTAIN LACK OF HOSTILITY BETWEEN "US" AND "THEM"?

Like since when do fully armed patriots just get accepted and tolerated and even welcomed by leftists? Since now apparently.

Guys, these kids aren't pretending to have all the answers, all they got is questions and we got the answers. And this love thing they do, they are sincere. And it seems that we are the adults in this situation. And I guess I want to push a certain sense of paternalistic care here: these are our children. If we are going to be responsible adults, well, we should take care and instruct and educate these kids because nobody else is going to. We have in front of us an endless buffet. And guys, if you haven't noticed, we are charictaristcly old and fat and ugly and hippy chicks are amazingly scrumptious. Old farts, one night in a sleeping bag with a hippy chick can make you young again.

Don't criticize, lead. The time is now. Grab your surf board and get on top of this wave. Or let it wash over your head and you can be all happy and self-righteous to the fish.
