E-Mail Read by N.S.A. Helped Convict Liquid Bomb Plotters

The e-mail messages were intercepted by the National Security Agency in Washington in 2006, but were not made available to British prosecutors to use as evidence in the first trial because the agency did not want to tip off the militant in Pakistan that his e-mail account was being monitored.
