In the first 300 days of 2009 H1N1 flu barely managed to edge out Leprocy as a cause of death worldwide. As a result, U.S. states are mandating vaccinations and quarantines while President Obama has declared a state of emergency. Doors open wider, red tape gets cut must faster, and people question less when there is a big, nasty boogy-man that must be defeated.
