Support for Non-Interventionist Foreign Policy

"No nation could wish to preserve its freedom in the midst of continual warfare" - James Madison The Sangamon County Libertarian Party supports the Rally for non-intervention at the Il State Capital on March 20th, 2010 at noon. The loss of life and the injury of tens of thousands of people, both here and abroad, should be reason enough to end our current foreign policy. With 12 trillion dollars of debt and tens of trillions in unfunded liabilities the country is broke. The SCLP thinks that it is wrong to put our children into debt bondage to police the entire world. It makes no sense to go into debt to bomb and then rebuild foreign nations. This money should be kept and used by its rightful owners, the American People themselves. The perpetual war on terror has led to a perpetual war on civil liberties. Government and corporations working in tandem to monitor the American People should be a concern to all. A surveillance society is being developed. Many dismiss this concern.
