Blown call costs Galarraga perfect game in 9th

• AP
Armando Galarraga squeezed the ball in his mitt, stepped on first base with his right foot and was ready to celebrate the first perfect game in Detroit Tigers’ history.

What happened next will be the talk of baseball for the rest of this season and likely a lot longer.

Actually there have only been 20 perfect games in the history of major league baseball.  This should have made 21.

hate to say it, but we cannot trust the umpires. We need instant reply....

What the hell is going on in baseball?  I was at David Wells' perfect game in 1998 and it was only the 15th in history, and in the last few years it seems like there's been one a year and there has already been 2 and almost 3 this season?  Hell, has anyone even thrown a "regular" no-hitter?

I put this up, not only because this was a rare no hitter, but an actual perfect game...nobody ever even makes it onto first base! Do you know how rare that is?  And the ump blows it.

But even more amazing; it would have been (was) the THIRD perfect game this season!!!!
