Today's activation of the national EAS system, a tool designed to allow
elected dictators to commandeer private radio and television signals on a
whim, seemed to have no effect on many radio stations in the
Birmingham, AL market. I'm not sure how well it worked in other places,
but I'm comforted to know that bureaucrats in Washington are too
incompetent to interrupt what I'm listening to.
