The Case For Abolishing Homeland Security, and Why We Shouldn't Stop There
• Activist PostThe Department of Homeland Security has shut down — at least temporarily. Reported Saturday morning February 14th, a lapse in funding has caused a partial shutdown of DHS, although as the New York Times reported, it "was not expected to bring most of the department's work to a halt yet could disrupt travelers, immigration enforcement and disaster relief if it is prolonged."
While not particularly consequential in the grand scheme of things, as surely the uniparty will come to a compromise to keep their oligarchy enforcement arm open, it does bring up an interesting topic of conversation.
As most should be aware, Homeland Security is the parent department of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), and for those that have been following our reporting, or just casually paying attention to the volatility of the American police state, the rampant despotism with which ICE has been running amok on American streets is all too plain to see.
