Use meth to fight the flu, say scientists

• naturalnews.com
Yes, you read that correctly. As it turns out, influenza virus cells mostly die when directly exposed to meth, which is hardly shocking when considering that methamphetamine is already known to induce apoptosis, or cell death, in healthy cells, hence its illicit classification.

To put this into perspective, the new study's findings can be likened to claiming to have discovered that chlorine bleach kills influenza virus cells, and thus might make an effective flu treatment -- except for the fact that, like meth, ingesting chlorine bleach will likely kill you. And yet this is the completely illogical direction the medical system is moving as it grasps at straws to come up with some synthetic substance that might effectively treat the flu, while discarding many known natural cures such as vitamin D and elderberry.
