The Federal Trade Commission has settled with the producer of a flashlight Android mobile app after it was revealed that the company was supplying users cellphone locations to third parties even after customers rejected the terms of service. Goldenshores Technologies LLC, creator of the”Brightest Flashlight Free” app, will not be forced to pay any fines but adjust their services accordingly. The FTC alleged that the app would begin sending phone locations to third parties even before customers said yes or no to the terms of service.
