Duke University and New York University have recently begun offering courses on cryptocurrencies. NYU Professor Geoffrey Miller and Professor David Yermack are teaching "The Law and Business of Bitcoin and Other Cryptocurrencies". Yermack stated that the course will teach how cyrptocurrencies affect the principles of finance. In the Spring of 2015, Duke University Finance Professor Campbell Harvey will begin teaching "Innovation, Disruption and Cryptoventures", focusing on the potential of blockchain technology. Cryptocurrency courses are already offered at the University of Nicosia in Cyprus and the UK's University of Cumbria.
