Elected to a Higher Office - Gov. Gary Johnson Interview

It's not every day we get to interview a former presidential candidate, but today, we get to do just that. Before he became the Libertarian Party's presidential nominee, Gary Johnson was a very successful – and highly innovative -- Governor of New Mexico. Ballot access restrictions made it a tough road for Governor Johnson, but he did wind up on the ballot in 48 states and in DC. He always said it was a long shot to land in the White House, but he believed his campaign will have a lasting impact. He was right. Johnson took roughly one percent of the national vote, and made waves in Florida, taking 35 thousand votes. Johnson claimed roughly one percent of the popular vote, his campaign did have an impact in at least one state – Florida, where he drew an estimated 35,000 votes. That changed the course of the election, because President Obama and candidate Mitt Romney were separated by only a few hundred votes. But now, he's been elected to a HIGHER OFFICE. Gary Johnson
