LG has revealed some exciting new details about the upcoming G8 ThinQ flagship smartphone. The device will come with what the company calls "Crystal Sound OLED" technology, which essentially means that the screen vibrates to make sounds.
This was actually rumored about the LG G8 for a while now since some of the company's OLED TVs feature the same technology.
What We Know About the LG G8
The key feature we've learned about today is the vibrating screen. Because the company is using this type of screen, we also know that this will be LG's first flagship phone not to use an LCD screen, which is definitely a sign of direction smartphones are moving.
For louder applications, the device will two feature more traditional bottom-facing speakers that will be capable of pushing higher volumes.
LG's quad DAC from recent flagship phones also returns, which, according to The Verge, means that there will be a headphone jack on the device, which is always a good thing.
