As you know, western North Carolina was devastated by deadly flooding and massive landslides after Hurricane Helene blew through last September. The historic storm took nearly 100 lives, and damage and recovery efforts are estimated to cost more than $53 billion.

To make matters worse, the Biden regime acted as if this disaster never even happened—likely because much of that neck of the woods is "red" and supported President Trump.

Thankfully, with President Trump back in the White House, the cavalry is finally on its way. Leading the charge is Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem, who is already overseeing the relief efforts that should've started four months ago.
