Steam Banned Just Backfired

• jacson - YouTube.com

California just passed a law that could accidentally kill SteamOS and every Linux distribution in the state. Assembly Bill 1043 requires EVERY operating system - Windows, macOS, Android, iOS, Steam Deck, and yes, even volunteer-run Linux distros - to build a real-time age verification API that broadcasts user age data to every app. The penalty for non-compliance? Up to $7,500 per child. The law passed unanimously, 76-0 and 38-0. And here's the insane part: it relies entirely on users self-reporting their age. No ID required. Just the honor system with a surveillance framework attached.

The neat thing is that in every law that is passed, things don't apply to people, men/women. My age is my private property, not the age wording that the law spells out. Laws can't really restrict people who don't agree to be restricted by them. Don't let government people restrict you with their sales pitch. They will ultimately use the courts against you. The courts are not the government and have no authority lawfully over you, if you do not accept their make-believe authority - https://educationcenter2000.com/ .
