How to Remove Your Child from School

How to Remove Your Child from School

Smart parents are now removing their children from government schools. This may seem like a scary decision. But it is actually one of the most liberating, inspiring, and exciting decisions you and your family will make for generations to come.

In this article, we will review a few tips and strategies that will help you increase your confidence to exit the school system immediately.

The most difficult part of the process is to overcome our over-exaggerated fears and self-doubt. We all have them but the state and corporate media have intentionally gave us messages that we are small and insignificant because they’re afraid of us discover the truth: we are strong and powerful beings on earth with a purpose.

Removing children from the tax-payer funded indoctrination centers seems to be the most powerful solution for families who can see the serious problems in traditional schools.  The criminality of the state schooling system is becoming quite apparent to millions of parents because of the forced vaccines, insane gender confusion curriculum, and one thousand other reasons.

Plus, the educational reform movement has either moved too slow or with too little benefit to the children and their parents.

So where do we begin?

With our thoughts, attitudes, and beliefs about education.

Here are three fundamental beliefs that you’re invited to adopt, if you want to increase your confidence to remove your child from government schools:

The world is the classroom.

Teaching is more of a function than it is a job or career.

The love of learning is the most important ability for success.

With these three powerful beliefs you’re on your way to enjoying the new world of empowered education for your child.

In effect, we are redefining education and what we truly want for our children.

For the next step, you’ll be wondering what to do AFTER you disenroll your child from the government school. (To disenroll them you can tell the front office verbally, or in writing, depending on your school.)

This is the best part! You can do whatever you want.

Now, I realize this may scare some of you, and that’s normal, because we are accustomed to being told what to do instead of following our natural curiosities and personal goals. So, let’s review some education options for your child:

Homeschooling is when you create an atmosphere where personalized learning can occur. This is easier to do than you might think because you don’t need to be your child’s teacher (I discuss more below). The ultimate goal of homeschooling is to empower your child to become a self-directed learner (aka unschooler, in some communities) so they’ll be able to create their life’s direction and success, starting at a young age.

Private Schooling is enrolling your child into a respectful school that doesn’t force them to do things you disapprove of, like gender curriculums, vaccines, etc. Some good models with a national presence are Acton Academy, Agile Learning Centers, NorthStar Teen Learning Centers, and Sudbury schools.

These are good because they have focus on self-direction. Some even have scholarships or special discounts, if tuition is a concern. They’re better than charter schools because they don’t have the state’s arbitrary standards, tests, and coercion, which is what ruins authentic education.

Community college is where your teenager can take classes that they’re interested in for a relatively inexpensive price. This is smart because your teenager may not know what they’re passionate about or what their dreams are yet. Here they’ll experience a glimpse of the adult world, including freedom to attend or not. I recommend they pay for a portion of or all of the classes they take.

Apprenticeships are a proven method for someone with little experience (your teenager) to learn something from someone with a lot of experience (a mentor).  Your teenager must be willing to trade their time and effort to learn it but teenagers have lots of time, especially since they won’t be doing useless assignments forced upon them by the government. These apprenticeships can be one week long, or maybe months, or more. Your child will need to know what they want to gain from getting an apprenticeship because it will require some effort on their part. The goal is to make it a win-win relationship for the mentor and your child. Praxis offers an apprenticeship service.

Online platforms are where your child can learn virtually anything. Sometimes these sites are free, like Youtube, Bitchute, Coursera, Udemy, and Udacity. These are amazing on-demand learning websites , so your child can read, watch, and listen to virtually any subject by the world’s top teachers and experts. Much of the information is free, which is why the love of learning is essential because that drives your child to learn. Children want to acquire knowledge and personal growth when it’s not forced on them. Freedom to choose is very motivational, even if it takes years for one to realize.

As a parent who is considering removing your child from the school system, you may be worried about this decision, yes?

So, let’s directly face some possible fears because that is a sure way to conquer it.

Common concerns parents have are:

1. “Am I going to ruin my child’s life?”

2. “Am I qualified to be my child’s teacher?”

3. “Where will my child make new friends?”

4. “How will they learn important things, like math and science?”

These are very popular questions and millions of parents ask them to themselves every year. Let’s answer them now.

“Am I going to ruin my child’s life?”

Certainly not. You love your child more than anyone on earth. With sincere love, you have better intentions, actions, and wishes for your child than any schoolteacher ever could. Why? Because you have a long-term emotional interest in your child’s success, happiness, and health.  Your happiness is strongly influenced by their happiness. This isn’t the case with most teachers. Although, there are many loving teachers in the world, most will likely forget your child’s name by the start of the next school year. (My mother was a loving teacher, so I know there are some angels in the classroom.)

Since you plan on being in your child’s life for the foreseeable future, there’s virtually zero probability that your sincere love for your child is going to ruin their life.

“Am I qualified to be my child’s teacher?”

Definitely yes. You have already taught your child to walk, talk, and how to be a happy human, yes? These are already amazing accolades that you did without conscious effort, perhaps. Plus, you’ll be excited to hear that your child was born as a learning genius who could learn 20 languages if they had native speakers speaking with them.

One powerful principle is that a conscious, loving parent is less of a teacher, and more of a facilitator, guide, coach, or learning partner with their child. Your main job is keeping your child safe. The natural desire to learn and explore will rise out of your child when they’re ready to grow.

Also, your child’s self-esteem is essential to a successful life and that comes from knowing they are loved unconditionally. This is your most important assignment and opportunity. Soon, they will develop self-confidence and self-love because of the consistent and tireless love you gave them. You are the most qualified to learn with your child because you will love them forever.

“Where will my child make new friends?”

Sports teams. Hobby clubs. Meetup groups. Online communities. Church. Volunteer organizations. In the neighborhood. In stores. Special events. Large conferences. Parties. And more!

If there’s not something like this in your area, you could be the one to create it. This is an opportunity to be specific about what kind of friends you want your child to be around. You’re leaving a one-size-fits-all school system to a personalized, customizable model. You’ll probably want your child to be around other children and adults with similar values, beliefs, and dreams so you can be a co-creator of that community.

You could create a weekend trip somewhere and invite your favorite friends and see what ideas and other projects you can come up with.

As you identify the types of friends you want your child to be around, you may want to ask “Where are those types of people?” and go on a little adventure in search of them. Be creative and have fun with your newfound freedom and personal power.

“How will they learn important things, like math and science?”

Khan academy. Saxon math curriculum. TEDtalks. MOOC (massive open online courses). The internet is the most powerful learning tool ever invented in the history of learning. It offers free and paid websites to learn high level topics, like math, engineering, chemistry, biology, etc. A very exciting phenomenon called MOOCs give away free online courses from top universities, like Harvard and MIT.

For basic math, you can start with shopping in the grocery store and helping your child understand numbers by how much things cost. As they get older, they’ll want to buy some things and this is the real world application for addition and subtraction. Presuming they earn an allowance or have some birthday money, they can buy their favorite items and learn the significance of numbers and math.

When they’re computing their first few transactions they’ll need a little help, but soon it will become a fun game and they’ll likely become quicker at math than us adults. :)

There are many possible tactics and strategies that will help you remove your child from the school system.

However, you’ll want to examine “why” you are serious about getting your child out of these harmful institutions.  Write down the list of things that you will no longer accept in your child’s life.  For many parents, they have found their “line in the sand” and it appears to be forced vaccinations. Regardless of what your reasons are, just know that no matter how difficult it may seem, it gets easier when you do the real Work of examining your beliefs about education, learning, and teaching.

Please consider accepting the 3 fundamental beliefs: the world is the classroom, teaching is more of a function than it is a job or career, the love of learning is the most important ability for success. That alone may positively transform direction of your child’s education and life.

There is a worldwide self-ownership awakening now and millions of parents are removing, and making plans to remove, their children from the government, monopoly, compulsory school system.

In fact, I propose that the most logical, transformational solution to empower children in the 21st century is to “Get All The Thinkers Out (of forced schooling)” so they can pursue their own interests, passions, and goals.

To help us remember, I created a quick acronym “GATTO”, which was inspired by the world-famous whistleblowing, award-winning, late great school teacher, John Taylor Gatto. He approved the memorialization of his name for this reason because, after teaching for 30 years, he understood how the system worked at the highest levels of commerce and politics, ultimately saying, “All effort to reform schooling is a huge waste of time, energy, and resources.”

John was probably the most important man from the school business in the last 100 years as he exposed the dark origins of the forced school system as he inspired many notable people like Robert Kiyosaki, Dr. Christiane Northrup, Lew Rockwell, Howard Zinn, and countless others as he revealed the truth of schools and what they were actually doing to children.

Whether you pull your child out and homeschool them, or send them to a private school, community college, online course, apprenticeship or otherwise, the most important lesson is unconditional love and the love of learning.

It will work out beautifully for your child, as self-directed learning is the historical method for success in life and the inevitable method of achievement for the human family going forward.

And it all starts with your child and your family first.

Thank you for being a visionary and courageous parent. Your child is lucky to have you.
