Pete Eyre works to advance the voluntary society one mind at a time. Though he has statist roots – he went to school for law enforcement and did an internship with the St. Paul Police Department – he soon embraced the ideas of complete liberty, which he credits for helping him be a better person.
In 2005 Pete interned at the Cato Institute then was a Koch Fellow before being hired at the Institute for Humane Studies. In early 2008 Pete became crasher-in-chief at Bureaucrash, a position he held for just over a year before hitting the road with the Motorhome Diaries (MHD). In the spring of 2010 Pete and Ademo Freeman took what they learned with MHD, co-founded Liberty On Tour and hit the road again to take introduce others to the idea that they should be free to act so long as they’re not initiating force.
In addition to LOT, Pete is active with Cop Block, a decentralized community of individuals united by their shared goal of police accountability, education of individual rights and the dissemination of effective tactics to utilize while interacting with police.
