Montgomery County Libertarians Endorse Ernest Hancock for Libertarian National Committee Chair.
In a unanimous vote, the Montgomery County Libertarian Committee
(MCLC) chose to endorse Ernest Hancock for Libertarian National
Committee chair. The endorsement included an allocation of substantial funds for transportation costs for delegates supporting Hancock to attend the LP National Convention in Saint Louis.
Hancock's pledge to provide "fearless advocacy of libertarian
philosophy" resonates with MCLC members who are known for guerrilla activism and outreach.
"Ernie Hancock's ability to bring vitality and cohesiveness to
grassroots activism while communicating a clear Libertarian philosophy is exactly what the LP needs right now," said Kat Valleley, Treasurer
of the Libertarian Party of Pennsylvania.
"Ernie Hancock has proven himself as a libertarian activist. He has a
natural talent for inspiring and enabling creative activism" said
committee member James Babb "He's got guts. He's creative and
communicates well, but most importantly, we can trust him to defend
MCLC Chairman, Steve Scheetz added, "We need to work towards undoing the damage that the Bob Barr presidential campaign has done to the LP's image. Putting principled libertarians into leadership roles is essential, if we are going to get the LP back on track. Ernie has the
experience to do just that. His track record speaks for itself."
