NYT National Security Propagandist Does His Usual Thing Again

by Stephen Lendman (stephenlendman.org - Home - Stephen Lendman)

Times senior propagandist on national security issues David Sanger never misses an opportunity to miss an opportunity to set the record straight.

It's not what he and others like him on the Times and other establishment media do — just the opposite, lying to readers and television viewers, not informing them.

Sanger's columns feature a steady drumbeat of bashing nations unwilling to sacrifice their sovereign rights to US interests.

The same of course is true about the entire Times editorial staff that comments on geopolitical issues and key domestic ones — notably foreign affairs presstitute Tom Friedman.

He's well-known for uninsightful hack columns that masquerade as journalism.

Mondoweiss slammed his latest column, accusing him of a new "cowardice" level low.

He's reached numerous new lows since the 1980s, testimony to how low he can sink, finding new ways to disgrace himself.

Sanger has been involved in misinforming and disinforming readers for around the same number of years.

They both fool some readers some of the time, others all the time.

Anyone paying attention to world events from reliable sources wastes no time following their rubbish.

I follow Times reports to critique them and set the record straight, what journalism is supposed to be, what the Times, Sanger, Friedman, and likeminded hacks long ago abandoned in deference to powerful interests they support over truth and full disclosure.

The stuff these guys put out makes it likely that they operate covertly with the CIA, NSA, FBI, and rest of the US intelligence community.

There not alone as card-carrying Times hall of shame members, far from it. Many other Times staffers are there with them.

Sanger devoted his latest column to a favorite target, bashing China with an onslaught of misinformation and disinformation, his stock and trade.

He failed to criticize the Trump regime's ordered closure of China's Houston consulate, a hostile action he supports by his remarks.

With no supporting evidence, he called China's Houston facility "one of the epicenters of its spying operations in the United States (sic)," adding:

"(A)ccuse, condemn (and) evict" US tactics haven't stopped "bad behavior from America's two greatest rivals for influence and power around the world, China and Russia."

What Sanger and other US imperial press agents never explain is that China, Russia, Iran, North Korea, Venezuela, Cuba, and other nations on Washington's target list for regime change seek cooperative relations with other countries, at war with none, threatening none.

Their geopolitical agenda is polar opposite longstanding US war on humanity at home and abroad — a hostile agenda Sanger and likeminded imperial stooges support.

He unacceptably supports extrajudicial actions and dubious accusations by both right wings of the US war party against other nations, their entities, and officials, including unlawful sanctions — flagrant UN Charter breaches when imposed.

What he calls Russian and Chinese "dens of spies" ignores the mother of all spy dens run worldwide by the CIA and other US intelligence community agencies.

He quoted right-wing Chinaphobe Abraham Denmark, dubiously accusing China of being "a tremendous espionage threat for the United States (sic)."

The US is by far the most "tremendous espionage threat" globally to both allies and adversaries, a rogue state menace to everyone everywhere.

Cyberwar is what the US, UK, other NATO nations, and Israel do against targeted nations, entities and individuals.

Sanger accused China of cyberattacking the US, citing no corroborating evidence.

He failed to explain that Beijing and Moscow have gone all-out to foster cooperative relations with Washington, their good faith efforts rebuffed by US war on both countries by other means.

He pushes the long ago debunked myth about a Sino/Russian threat to America's power grid.

No such threat ever existed, at least not in recent decades. Claiming it was and remains fake news, part of US propaganda war on both countries.

Instead of exposing the Big Lie, the Times pushes it.

US hostility toward China, Russia, Iran, and other nations is doesn't control is all about wanting them transformed into client states.

Instead of explaining what's going on accurately, propagandists like Sanger, Friedman, and likeminded US intelligence community-connected hacks deliver state-approved managed news misinformation and disinformation exclusively in their columns.

Avoid them! Follow reliable alternative truth-telling media exclusively to stay informed.
