Changing of the guard in Israel left its regime of apartheid, occupation, belligerence, war on humanity, and state-sponsored tyranny in place.
In response to two rockets from Lebanon landing on Israeli territory from an unknown source, causing no damage or casualties, the Bennett regime shelled and terror-bombed Lebanese territory.
According to Hezbollah-affiliated Al-Manar television, multiple IDF shells landed in South Lebanon's Kiam Valley, no casualties reported.
Citing the IDF, Haaretz reported "over a hundred shells of various kinds (fired) into Lebanese territory throughout Wednesday."
Israeli terror-bombing followed, an IDF statement saying its warplanes struck the alleged "launch sites and infrastructure…from which the rockets were launched."
Hezbollah had nothing to do with the incident, what the Bennett regime virtually admitted.
On Thursday, Lebanon's Prime Minister Hassan Diab asked Foreign Minister Zeina Akar to "instruct Lebanon's delegate to the United Nations, Ambassador Amal Mudallali, to submit an urgent complaint to the UN Security Council regarding the Israeli aggression against Lebanon."
Diab said "(t)he Israeli enemy, with its artillery first and its warplanes second, carried out an explicit aggression against the Lebanese sovereignty…"
The Bennett regime "publicly admitted this flagrant violation of Resolution 1701…" See below.
It "suspiciously claim(ed) the fall of missiles on the northern parts of occupied Palestine, fired from the Lebanese territories, when no party in Lebanon has claimed such an attack."
"This new and dangerous aggression constitutes a major threat to calm on Lebanon's southern borders, after a series of Israeli violations of Lebanese sovereignty and the use of the Lebanese airspace to attack Syria."
"I call on the UN and Security Council to deter Israel and force it to stop its repeated violations of Lebanese sovereignty…"
These violations (breached) Resolution 1701 (August 2006) and the stability that has existed since 2006."
The above resolution ended Israeli aggression on Lebanon from July 12 to early August 2006.
Israeli aggression against Syria has been ongoing for years — with no end of it in prospect, no world community actions to stop it.
According to Israel's Kan radio, PM Bennett and war minister Gantz are discussing security issues at the Knesset.
Last month, IDF chief General Aviv Kochavi vowed to "respond overtly, covertly or both following any attempt to violate Israel's sovereignty from Lebanon."
At the time, Bennett made similar comments.
On Friday, an IDF statement said "(m)ore than ten rockets were fired from Lebanese territory into Israel."
IDF warplanes are "currently striking the launch sources in Lebanon."
Reuters reported the following:
"Hezbollah said it" responded to Israeli aggression by firing rockets on open ground near IDF positions in Occupied Shebaa Farms on Friday.
Al-Manar television earlier quoted Hezbollah leader Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah — warning that if Israel "hit(s) Beirut, the Islamic resistance will hit Tel Aviv" in response.
On Friday, Al Jazeera said the situation along the Israeli/Lebanese border is "precarious" — though both sides are "very careful in avoiding casualties," adding:
They're "treading carefully because any wrong move here could lead to all-out war."
"These are two longtime enemies who are now sending messages to each other."
"(M)any in Lebanon (say) this escalation is linked to what is going on in the region."
A UNIFIL peacekeeping force along the Israeli/Lebanese border warned of a "very dangerous situation with escalatory actions" since Wednesday.
Separately on Thursday, Bennett regime war minister Gantz said Israel is "at a point where we need to take military action against Iran (sic)," adding:
"The world needs to take action against (nonbelligerent) Iran now (sic)."
He falsely claimed that is "10 weeks away" from enough weapons-grade material to make a nuclear bomb (sic)."
He lied accusing Iran of "building up its forces in Lebanon…Gaza," and elsewhere regionally.
In response, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh tweeted:
"In another brazen violation of Int'l law, Israeli regime now blatantly threatens #Iran with military action."
"Such malign behavior stems from blind Western support."
Vowing a "decisive response" to Israeli aggression if occurs, he warned:
"Don't test us."
Tensions escalated along the Israeli/Lebanese border in the run-to and following Iranian President Raisi's inauguration on Thursday.
While Israeli war on Lebanon and/or Iran is highly unlikely, anything is possible with extremists like Bennett, Lapid, Gantz, and likeminded elements around him in power.
A Final Comment
On Friday, Haaretz reported an IDF source saying both sides (Lebanon and Israel) are not interested in an escalation."
At the same time, war minister Gantz was quoted saying:
"Lebanon allows terror activity to take place from its territory (sic)."
"Israel will act against every threat to its sovereignty and citizens, and will respond according to its interests in the relevant time and place (sic)."
"We won't allow Lebanon's social, economic and political crisis to turn into a security threat against Israel (sic)."
Like the US-dominated West, Israel time and again blames invented enemies for its own aggression and other lawless actions.
