No Change in Hard-Wired Biden Regime War on Iran by Other Means
Written by Stephen Lendman Subject: IranNo Change in Hard-Wired Biden Regime War on Iran by Other Means

Since last April, multiple rounds of JCPOA talks in Vienna produced no breakthroughs — no meaningful change in hard-wired/illegal Biden regime maximum pressure on Iran.
No matter how much longer talks continue, chances that its dominant hardliners will return to JCPOA compliance — as mandated by SC Res. 2231 — are virtually zero.
No matter that SC resolutions are binding international and US constitutional law under its Supremacy Clause.
No matter that the Islamic Republic is a respected member state of the international community — a good neighbor in stark contrast to how hegemon USA, its NATO vassal states and apartheid Israel operate.
No matter that throughout its 42-year history, the Islamic Republic has prioritized peace, stability, cooperative relations with other countries and compliance with international law.
Last week, Biden regime sanctions relief on Iran's civil nuclear program to let other countries work cooperatively at its nuclear sites was little more than head-fake deception.
The State Department virtually confirmed it by saying that the move does not signal a US return to JCPOA compliance as things now stand.
Left unsaid is that neither wing of its war party intends to restore the landmark agreement in accordance with SC Res. 2231 principles.
Left unexplained as well is that longstanding US policy aims to transform Iran back to vassal state status — what existed for a generation before its liberating 1979 revolution.
It's about looting its vast oil and gas reserves, along with wanting its 84 million people consigned to serfdom — to serving US interests.
As long as Iran remains free from US control, its maximum pressure war by other means continues unchanged.
Last week's move by the Biden regime was worlds apart from a good will gesture — what's off-the-table in dealings with all sovereign independent countries.
Ignoring unbending US hostility toward Iran for its sovereign independence, a duplicitous Biden regime statement said the following:
"We are issuing the waiver now for a simple reason (sic)."
"It will enable some of our international partners to have more detailed technical discussions to enable cooperation that we view as being in our non-proliferation interests (sic)."
"The technical discussions facilitated by the waiver are necessary in the final weeks of JCPOA talks (sic), and the waiver itself would be essential to ensuring Iran's swift compliance with its nuclear commitments (sic)."
Fact: As explained many times before, the Biden regime has no intention of complying with its international obligations in dealing with sovereign independent countries like Iran, Russia, China and others.
Fact: Since agreeing to JCPOA provisions in July 2015 — and after its implementation in January 2016 — Iran has been in full compliance with its provisions.
Fact: Nearly straightaway after the JCPOA became effective, the Obama/Biden regime invented a pretext to breach the agreement.
Fact: More US breaches followed for invented reasons.
Fact: In response to Trump's flagrant abandonment of the JCPOA in May 2018 — E3 countries following suit — Iran legally rolled back its voluntary commitments as permitted by the agreement under Articles 26 and 36.
Fact: At the same time, it left no doubt about its intention to reverse its rollback if the US and E3 return to compliance as mandated by SC Res. 2231.
Ignore US/Western rhetoric.
Follow their actions alone.
The US and E3 remain in flagrant breach of their JCPOA obligations.
It's been this way since May 2018.
After nine months of talks in Vienna, no evidence suggests a change of policy.
Just the opposite.
What's gone on in vain all this time is clear and indisputable.
Negotiating in good faith with the US-dominated West is an exercise in futility whenever undertaken — a colossal waste of time and effort.
Operating by their own rules exclusively — in flagrant breach of binding international law — promises made by their ruling regimes are hollow.
Consistently breached at their discretion — it's for whatever phony pretexts are cited or none at all.
In response to the latest Biden regime head-fake deception, Iran's Supreme National Security Council Secretary Ali Shamkhani tweeted the following:
"Iran's legal right to continue research and development and to maintain its peaceful nuclear capabilities and achievements, along with its security against supported evils, cannot be restricted by any agreement."
Iran's Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian stressed what there's been no ambiguity about since the US/West breached the JCPOA, saying:
"We are decisively and explicitly after a good deal, but we also insist on safeguarding our red lines and national interests with the same level of decisiveness and explicitness."
The US-dominated West continues to "fall short of meeting our expectations" as mandated by international law.
Nothing less than full compliance is acceptable.
Iran seeks and deserves what dominant Biden regime hardliners and their E3 counterparts reject:
A legally binding agreement on Western regimes and their successors.
Whatever comes out of Vienna talks — if anything meaningful — won't be worth the paper it's written on.
As history indisputably proved time and again, hegemon USA's word is never its bond.
The same goes its Western vassal states.
As affirmed by SC Res. 2231, the JCPOA no longer exists.
Only its obituary remains to be written.
