Walmart does business AS CHEAPLY AS THEY CAN. If it costs more than a nickle to fix, forget it. If you could save a thousand dollars by doing $50 of maintenance, forget it. Why? Because if you start fixing things with the preventative maintenance idea, pretty soon you are fixing all kinds of things that are not broken. Expenses skyrocket.
This is what the shelved moon program is all about. When you skyrocket, expenses skyrocket. And to avoid the skyrocket of expenses, shelve the moon skyrocket.
The only time when the moon will become feasible is when there is truly a financially justifiable end clearly in sight... in sight NOW, not some foggy time in the supposedly near - or distant - future.
