Breaking News - Gilbert Political Sign Theft Story About to Get Much Bigger -- Update!
The recent Political Insiders having got caught stealing free speech campaign road signs story in Gilbert Arizona, is about to get considerably bigger.
Although insider Roberta ‘Bobbie’ Smith in Gilbert Arizona, got caught stealing sharp unusual campaign signs criticizing bad government during the upcoming Tuesday Election - The real bigger story has not broke yet.
That is: Bobbie Smith’s political cohort, councilwoman Linda Abbot’s campaign treasurer and husband Tom Abbot, was caught a few days BEFORE Bobbie Smith stealing ShameOnGilbert.org signs, as well.
City of Tempe Battalion Chief Tom Abbot has a long history of stealing signs criticizing tax increases, most have not felt comfortable filing charges against him, but finally a police report has finally filed in the Gilbert Police Department, with his exact description.
Councilwoman Linda Abbot is in nail-bitter close election Tuesday in the residential town of Gilbert, Arizona. Councilwoman Abbot supported and voted for several land deals for lands purchased from Gilbert insiders for far more than their appraised price. Campaign contributions flowed back to Councilmen who supported the controversial considerably overpriced multi-million dollar land purchases.
Shame on Gilbert.org is the brain child of H. Steven Johnson of Gilbert. Johnson says he has a large family, and is very concerned about the effects of overspending on his children, and his tax rates. ShameonGilbert’s internet site goes into considerable detail about very questionable insider land deals, similar to several of the other big cities surrounding Gilbert, including Mesa, years ago. Most city employees are also Realtors who are involved.
Johnson’s family took the personal initiative and created Shame on Gilbert on the internet, with the signs as his advertising draw for about $2,500, most reimbursed with donations. Shame on Gilbert.org used about 100 sharply designed signs and placed them on several major Gilbert intersections. Within a short period of time, the signs rapidly disappeared, with Tom Abbot taking some of the signs, along with signs of candidates running against his wife Councilwoman Linda Abbot. Taking a person’s campaign is a misdemeanor offence in Arizona. About 30 signs remain out of the original 100.
ShameonGilbert.org is also already being harangued by the Town of Gilbert insider bureaucrats, with city official threats of taking down the 1st amendment signs because quote: “They are not political enough”.
Tomorrow, ShameonGilbert.org is looking to review public record traffic intersection cameras for documenting Tom Abbot’s latest sign theft. A witness was found to document this sign theft story as well, according to police reports. Other eye witnesses have reportedly been reluctant to come forward, until now.
More information can be found on ShameonGilbert.org. Abbot’s campaign may be in trouble from her husband’s and her friend’s theft stories. Other city councilmen and city employees are believed to be involved as well.
