I just don't seem to get tired of saying it:  gotta love the United Asstates of America!

First, they turn some hippy who's smoking a joint into a criminal.  Then, they throw him in jail and throw away the key.  When he comes out, he's marked for life and whatever hopes of a future or a normal life he had are shut by background checks, laws against people with a criminal record and yaddah yaddah yaddah.  Not content with that, now that they can't no longer support them (and taking into consideration that the only reason why they were sent to jail in the first place is because they were providing pork for some fat cat subcontractor) now that things get rought, they throw them out onto to the streets so that they can become homeless and, maybe, out of desperation commit a real crime like theft to feed themselves.

Way to go!  USA, rah rah rah!
