How do you classify one who believes and espouses a rationalization; a rationalization that legitimizes and enables pure, concentrated, transparent evil to be dispensed on an industrialized, institutionalized scale?

If you don't like that he tried to assault her with a ball point pen pressed against a small note-pad, then go and bloody do something useful. Get a Marc Stevens script, and get your ass ticketed for J-walking, safely. But don’t punch the cop! He’s merely carrying out the statute as he's legally bound to do.

Saying that the cop "punched her over J-walking" is patently absurd. She went after him physically first, she took it from the pen to the sword. The judges and politicians who enacted J-walking laws (while you and I did nothing to stop them) are the ones initiated the force on her, and the cop was merely being a workmanlike worker who was working at doing some work--as in working for his living. He was being so gentle she was slipping his holds when he was trying to cuff her! His proper procedure in those cases is to put her on the ground and put some weight on her. The guy was restrained as hell. For his troubles, he gets attacked by an unstable person.

I'm all for exposing actual police brutality, but this video is a cautionary tale for the police, not us. If they’re smart, they will think “If I am going to be gentle and reasonable with people and crowds, then I’m risking an outcome that could be embarrassing and dangerous, because I’m depending on the crowd to act as civilized humans. Punch at a cop and get punched! Not rocket science. We should be emailing him a “thank you sir” for his restraint. We have to work with these guys to change the world, wherever possible, and not against them. We have to turn enough of them into Oath Keepers so that there is no longer an us vs. them.

 Man,...you folks seem to have no idea what the courts have held to be reasonable use of force for police officers in the course of their duties. This cop showed incredible restraint for not tazing or macing little Miss I'm-emtiteld-because-I'm-black. Every officer I've ever met would have been paranoid about the crowd ganging up on him like the girlfriend did, and would end it as quickly as possible in order to better control of the environment around him. In fact. I'm certain this cop got his ass chewed by his seargent for not bouncing her head on the hood a few times to get her to shut her pie hole and comply. Yes, according to the law, the girl he punched in the face did assault him. The law does not set a qualifier that the "offensive touching" need to have actually hurt or been effective in any way.

In some cities, the cop would have unholstered his pistol to hold everyone else at bay while he thumped princess into submission. And the courts would have given him a pass for it.

I'm not saying its right;...but some of you folks don't have a clue what the job entails.

Those who think she "had it coming" should realize the reports coming out now say the the girls were jaywalking, and the cop was busy with another male jaywalker when he witnessed the additional heinous violations. The girls may have kept walking, and good on them for doing so. This cop is obviously a Fife in the worst order if true; and there is ZERO justification for punching someone over jaywalking. He could have killed her.

You dont even have to look closely just watch the video and you will see she had it coming.

 I'd rather she got punched in her face than tazed; better chance of survival, and probably a better lesson, if learned.
