Gary Johnson: If I were young I'd be in a state of revolt

• Bruce St. James Show
"Kids are getting screwed right now!"

That's how presidential candidate Gary Johnson started his final answer during his time in studio with the Bruce St. James Show on Wednesday.

Johnson then continued with a full list of how he believes young people are getting "screwed." He said the current government is making decisions that will negatively impact the youth of today 30 years from now.

Listen: Gov. Gary Johnson
Libertarian Presidential candidate Gov. Gary Johnson joins us. He tells us how he is different from both Romney and Obama.

Johnson assesses the government plan as: "We're going to retire, we're going to have health care but you're going to have to work the rest of your life," Johnson said. "You're never going to be able to retire, oh and by the way, you're going to have to go and fight these wars, you're the ones coming back in body bags, you're the ones coming back with limbs blown off, you're graduating college with a home mortage without a home -- meaning student debt.

"And lastly, president Obama's health care plan. Incumbent on healthy people signing up for insurance for people who aren't so healthy, well that's young people. If I were a young person right now I would be in a state of revolt!"

The Libertarian candidate and former governor of New Mexico is trying to gain momentum even though his better funded opponents will be the ones debating.
