STUDY: Couples Who Smoke Marijuana Less Likely to Experience Domestic Violence

The study was conducted by researchers from Yale University, University of Buffalo and Rutgers. The researchers followed 634 married couples for nine years, periodically asking the couples to fill out questionnaires on their cannabis use and relationship violence. Researcher Kenneth Leonard told The Independent that the findings suggest cannabis use is predictive of lower levels of aggression towards relationship partners. Leonard said other factors could be responsible for the link.
