Governor Pardons His Own Son

• Next News Netowrk

You know what they say: It's nice to have friends in high places. That's especially true for Kyle Beebe. He's the son of Arkansas state Governor, Mike Beebe, and for the first time in over a decade, Kyle is technically no longer a felon. It all started back in 2003. That's when Beebe was convicted of a class C felony. Police found enough marijuana to charge Beebe with intent to sell. Kyle was ordered to undergo 3 years of supervision and pay a hefty fine. According to his dad, the Governor, Kyle did not ask him for any help at the time of the conviction. Instead, only recently has Kyle asked for the governors sympathy and wrote a letter to his father for an official pardon. Governor Beebe says this pardon is no different than any of the rest. During his tenure, he's given over 700 pardons, mostly given to those with non-violent crimes. In fact, he's let many more questionable men out of prison before. Right now, state investigators are looking into Beebe's decision
