Has North Korea WON? Japan admits Kim Jong-un's missiles WILL NOT be shot down

JAPAN has admitted it will do nothing to stop North Korea's supreme leader Kim Jong-un firing missiles over its territory.

The communist state has risked war by launching ballistic missiles over northern Japan twice in recent months.

One of the rockets was an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) fired towards the US territory of Guam in the Pacific Ocean.

On both occasions Japan did not attempt to shoot down the missiles despite sparking mass evacuations across the nation.

Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has branded North Korea an "unprecedented threat" to the country's security.

But today minister of defence Itsunori Onodera said neither missile launch posed any threat to Japanese territory.
