Mr President please free Julian Assange, says Donald Trump adviser ROGER STONE

Mr Stone was the man who first persuaded Mr Trump to run for the White House.

He says that the charges brought against the Wikileaks founder by the Obama administration for revealing embarrassing US secrets should be withdrawn.

The call comes after Mr Stone, who was also an advisor to US Presidents Richard Nixon and Ronald Reagan, visited the Ecuadorian embassy while he was in London to leave his business card for Mr Assange who has been in hiding there since British courts decided to extradite him to Sweden on alleged rape charges.
