Former Massachusetts Gov. Bill Weld will be announcing his 2020 plans in New Hampshire in two weeks, WMUR reported Friday.

Weld is the scheduled speaker at the "Politics and Eggs" breakfast at the New Hampshire Institute of Politics on February 15th.

As the Republican governor of Massachusetts from 1991-1997, Weld was well known in New Hampshire, which hosts the nation's first primary. In 2016, he was the vice presidential nominee on the Libertarian Party ticket.

Donald Trump's former campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski, lashed out at Weld for considering a Republican Party challenge of President Donald Trump.

"This is a man who's grown up with immense privilege his entire life and just wants to stay relevant," Lewandowski told WMUR.
