Brave Jack Russell gives her life to save her owner, 10, from a wolf attack in Russia...
• https://www.dailymail.co, By WILL STEWARTThis is the moment a brave Jack Russell gave her life to save her ten-year-old owner from an attack by a wolf.
The child named Yemelyan was playing hide-and-seek with his siblings in Russia's northern Komi Republic.
The video shows the boy hiding in a pile of snow - unaware that a wolf had emerged from the nearby forest.
Jack Russell Jessie spotted the extreme danger to Yemelyan and ran like a bullet to challenge the huge wolf.
A CCTV camera on Yemelyan's nearby family home sees Jessie dart across the snow like a tiny grey comet.
Footage hears the terrier's high-pitched yell as the wolf viscously attacked the brave dog.
Meanwhile the cry alerted Yemelyan who had time to run from danger and tell his parents about the attack.
His father Ruslan summoned his friends, including local hunters, and rushed outside.
The wolf dropped the terrier, which was clenched in its mouth, and fled into the forest.
Tragically Jessie was found still alive but severely wounded and covered in flood.
She died soon afterwards in the arms of Yemelyan's mother, Marina, on the way to the clinic in regional capital of Syktyvkar.
