First wireless brain-computer interface has performed successfully in humans

It builds off of a model that attached the implanted electrodes to cables 

The redesign uses a small transmitter that is attached to a port in the head 

Participants with paralysis were able to control a tablet using their mind

The trials showed they had similar speeds to those with a wired system
