"I Am Stunned" - Supreme Court Blocks Trump's USAID Foreign-Aid Freeze
• Zero HedgeOver four dissents, the justices rejected Trump's request to toss out the trial court order, which affects money owed by the US Agency for International Development and State Department.
JUSTICE ALITO, with whom JUSTICE THOMAS, JUSTICE GORSUCH, and JUSTICE KAVANAUGH join, dissenting from the denial of the application to vacate order.
Does a single district-court judge who likely lacks jurisdiction have the unchecked power to compel the Government of the United States to pay out (and probably lose forever) 2 billion taxpayer dollars?
The answer to that question should be an emphatic "No," but a majority of this Court apparently thinks otherwise.
I am stunned.
Chief Justice John Roberts and Justice Barrett sided with the liberal members of the court.

It's the "Contract Clause" in the Constitution. If you sign a contract with somebody, and later renege on the contract, it's up to the harmed party to go to court with evidence of the harm done. Then the court makes their determination in favor of the harmed party || In this case, there might have been a bunch of money-laundering done. The whole contract may have been set up on false premises. Trump might have been conscionably right in everything he did. But he needs to present the evidence to the court so that they can overturn their verdict, which they will do if they find that wrong-doing was done.
