Joe Rogan has celebrated Secretary of War Pete Hegseth's crusade to eradicate 'wokeness' and fat troops from the military.

Rogan's endorsement of this new vision for the armed forces came up during the Tuesday episode of his podcast featuring members of The Red Clay Strays, a country rock group.

Andrew Bishop, the bassist, brought up this week's gathering of officers at Quantico, Virginia, where Hegseth announced there would be more stringent physical fitness standards.

Rogan said he supported that 'no more identity politics and bulls***' will be distracting from military objectives.

'The most important thing is be ready. Be ready and have the most capable military that's humanly possible given the resources that we have today,' Rogan said of Hegseth's comments, which came hours before the podcast.

Rogan, who interviewed and endorsed President Donald Trump ahead of the 2024 election, also attacked former President Joe Biden for his efforts to make the military more friendly to women and members of the LGBT community.

'You saw what the f**k was going on over the last four years,' he said. 'You got guys in dresses talking about how it's really important to have inclusiveness. It's the most important thing about the military — is inclusivity.'

Rogan also talked about Sam Brinton, a former Energy Department official under Biden who was the first openly genderfluid person to serve in the federal government.

Brinton, though not affiliated with the Department of Defense, was charged in three different states for allegedly stealing women's clothing from their luggage at airports.

Brinton was fired in December 2022, just three months into the job, after these alleged bouts of kleptomania were being widely reported in the media.

'That guy was in charge of like f***ing nuclear waste and he's running around stealing people's underwear ... with lipstick and a bald head,' Rogan said.

Rogan's comments about the ongoing tone shift in the US government came as Hegseth laid down the law with senior military officials.

Speaking at Marine Corps Base Quantico Hegseth said that America's enemies would 'FAFO', which stands for 'f*** around and find out,' if they chose to challenge its military might.

'From this moment forward the only mission of the newly restored Department of War is this: war fighting, preparing for war and preparing to win,' Hegseth continued, saying, however, that they do not wish for war, touting their 'strength through peace' motto.
