The unbearable pettiness of celebrity award shows

• The American Thinker

The Golden Globes, the Grammys, the Oscars, People's Choice, etc., etc. All of them are, of course, rigged.

Megyn Kelly, nominated for a Golden Globe for her podcast, discovered that to remain a nominee, one must pay! A lot! There are a host of other requirements as well. She chose not to comply, even though her podcast is among the highest-rated.

The one that won, Amy Poehler's "Good Hang," has no ratings at all.

Is it the same for all the award shows? Seems likely. How else do they mount these endless tributes of celebrities to themselves? The hosts, aside from Ricky Gervais, are always far-left ideologically. Every presenter and every winner's schtick is to rant and rave against all things conservative, all things Trump. Then they bask in the glorious applause as if it were a meaningful commentary on their very existence. It most certainly is not.
