President Trump reportedly said on Friday that he's sending Marco Rubio to Cuba to make a deal as the country is "going to fall pretty soon." 

The President has already taken actions against Cuba, including an oil embargo and threatening tariffs on any country that provides oil to Cuba through an Executive Order.

Trump spoke with CNN's Dana Bash on Friday, where he said, "Cuba is going to fall pretty soon, by the way. Cuba is going to fall too," according to Bash.

"They want to make a deal so badly. They want to make a deal. And so I'm going to put Marco over there, and we'll see how that works out," Bash recounted him saying.

"Cuba is ready after 50 years."

Bash summarized her conversation with the President, which covered Iran, Cuba, gas prices, and the Texas Senate runoff election between John Cornyn and Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton.
